I'm one of those people that has tried every fad diet and bought every exercise DVD (which usually stayed in the wrapper) and never stuck to anything.
Yes I always managed to lose a few pounds but then always put it on, trouble is I like my food too much and mainly the wrong foods!!
My husband and I booked our summer holiday going to Spain with some of our friends, so I joined commando fitness to lose weight and get fit as the friends we were going with were both a lot trimmer and I refused to look like a beached whale lying next to her!
I hated the beach because it means you have to wear a swim suit and nothing can hide your lumps and bumps so I gave myself a 6 months goal to lose two stone!!
I joined with my sister as I'm not very confident with people I don't know but I needn't have worried as everyone was very nice and encouraging from day one. The diet was great as you don't ever feel hungry.
The first session nearly killed me and I found it extremely hard on occasions but I never gave up and my sister was always there to push me along!
6 months later and it was the beginning of July – holiday time. I had managed to lose four and a half stone nearly and dropped 5 dress sizes!
I stuck to the diet and exercise like glue all that time sometimes doing 2 sessions a week or some months three but I managed much more than I ever could have imagined. I actually wore a bikini on holiday and have never even owned one before!
My confidence is through the roof, my only regrets is that I didn't do this 10 years ago. So never say never, don't think I'll start tomorrow, go for it now and give it everything you've got you won't regret it!!
